He ensures that lower income families are not disadvantaged through implementing assistance programmes such as Nanyang Sayang, a free tuition and mentorship programme for children, and Food Locker, an initiative that gives out food hampers to the needy. 

He is committed to building a greener Singapore and fostering an inclusive society for people with physical or intellectual disabilities. 

Wei Neng is married with four children. He enjoys walking his dog, and cycling and hiking with his family.
